Marketing Director, Creative & Brand · 2022–2023
Earlier role: Graphic Designer · 2022
HEP’s previous marketing department had been dismantled. I rebuilt the in-house function while keeping campaign work moving across four locations and six home-service categories in East Tennessee and Northwest Georgia. The assignment combined team leadership, creative direction, and the practical work of restoring a reliable marketing operation.
Building the team and workflow
I rebuilt the team to a peak of five, including me, with four direct reports. I set creative priorities and aligned messaging, approvals, and delivery with company leadership. Replacing spreadsheet-based planning with Monday.com gave the department a shared place to organize work and see its progress.
I established an annual editorial framework, reusable campaign templates, and a shared asset library so recurring campaigns could build on existing work. I also evaluated and negotiated marketing technology and print-vendor relationships, including Semrush, Sprout Social, Monday.com, and local production partners. Together, the team, planning process, and reusable assets restored the department’s capacity to deliver ongoing marketing across the business.
Vehicle graphics concepts
I designed vehicle-graphics mockups that extended HEP’s established identity into a highly visible service setting, where the brand, service offer, and contact information needed to read quickly. Alongside the concepts, I developed a system for producing the graphics in-house. The service van shown here is a design mockup.
Campaigns across six service categories
I translated service priorities into coordinated brochures, promotional offers, displays, direct mail, and recruiting materials. The design challenge was to make distinct services easy to understand while maintaining a recognizable HEP identity across locations. I directed the messaging and visual hierarchy and carried the work through design and production preparation.

Extending campaigns into video and motion
I directed and created photography, short-form video, and motion assets to give campaigns a broader range of formats. Service messages were adapted for Reels, Shorts, Stories, and other promotional uses, connecting concept development with the practical requirements of each channel.
Sustaining daily publishing
I managed daily publishing across seven or more social and digital platforms while directing website updates, blog content, and SEO-aware refinements. The annual content plan and shared asset library connected recurring service promotions, recruiting needs, and seasonal campaigns, giving the team an organized foundation for sustained output.
